Similar to Brusselle’s mooring winches, the slipway winch can be disengaged via a claw coupling or dog clutch, and a customized (dual) braking system is provided. The claw coupling ensures safe operation and allows for free spooling of the cable.

These winches are designed to handle heavy loads on the slipway, requiring an extremely sturdy construction with a robust frame and heavy-duty feet.

We also aim to create low-maintenance slipway winches. The shafts run on generously sized roller or ball bearings and are made of gear steel. Bearings are lubricated, and the grease nipples are grouped together. Grease lines are made of stainless steel.

Even if the slipway winches come ashore, Brusselle ensures corrosion protection according to seaworthy standards, with components sandblasted before receiving three layers of paint.
