Trawl Winches

Step into the world of Brusselle’s trawl winches, where innovation and power come together. Our trawl winches are available in a range of configurations, powered by both hydraulic and electric systems, offering a nominal pulling force ranging from 20 kN to 600 kN.

Whether it’s for existing beam trawlers or brand-new industrial trawlers, at Brusselle, we provide customized trawl winches designed for specific applications such as bottom trawling, pelagic trawling, beam trawling, or purse seining.

Our trawl winches can be built in monoblock and split configurations, with drums in conventional or multi-drum setups, and even in waterfall configurations. But it doesn’t stop there. Brusselle offers a complete range of auxiliary winches, including sweep line winches, fleeting winches, Gilson-bag winches, and cod-end equipment. With options such as drum jaw clutch or friction type clutches, drum brakes in a self-releasing execution, and various remote controls, the trawl winch can be configured to suit the owner’s preferences.

Our trawl winches are designed with an eye toward the future, with mechatronics playing a crucial role. Our latest systems integrate advanced controls and automatic operation to ensure that the nets are towed evenly, even under changing wave conditions.

But it’s not just about performance; at Brusselle, we aim for sustainable fishing practices. Solutions such as twin-rig fishing, where two identical nets are used, help reduce the impact on the environment. Twin-rig fishing is particularly interesting for vessels with lower power and so called eurokotters. The twin-rig winches are installed on both new and existing vessels.
