The hydraulic units or powerpacks, often abbreviated as HPU, are custom-made for all types of Brusselle steering gears, always in accordance with the applicable classification regulations (BV, LROS, DNV, GL, CCS…).

The conventional Brusselle steering gear, equipped with single-acting cylinders, enjoy a highly reliable reputation in terms of robustness, durability, and quality.

Over the past decades, Brusselle has developed steering gears with double-acting cylinders. These devices are compact, and the cylinders are fully redundant. This type of device can be supplied in both hydraulic (PTO) and electro-hydraulic versions.
