Tugger Winches

Brusselle designs and supplies all types of tugger and auxiliary winches, customized to meet specific customer needs, with electric, hydraulic, or manual drive systems. Speed and pulling force values are defined to meet the vessel’s requirements.

A tugger winch is an auxiliary winch used to tow materials on deck. These are typically small winches without special features, with or without brakes, and with or without engageable clutches.

On the other hand, coupling winches are characterized by high holding force, used, for example, to couple pusher tugs.

Additionally, winches for replenishment at sea (RAS) and fueling at sea (FAS) are manufactured. These winches allow ships to be refueled without stopping or docking, transferring both solid materials and liquids. Many small winches with low force and high speed are required for such operations.

The renowned flexibility of the winch design has convinced military navies and companies with specialized vessels to install specially designed Brusselle winches.
